CLIMATE: warm and pleasant; Mediterranean-like on Black Sea coast. Average temperature in winter is approximately 3 degrees C above zero, while in August it is 23-26 degrees C.
NATURAL RESOURCES: forest, hydropower, manganese deposits, iron ore, copper, minor, coal and oil deposits, thanks to coastal climate and soils for important tea and citrus growth
